Club Meeting – November 10, 2016

November in the Rotary year is The Rotary Foundation month. Today PDG Alex Wilkins shared his personal views and passion for this globally recognized instrument of goodwill and humanitarian projects.

PDG Wilkins presented Mary & Bob Keely and Sam & Lonna Carter and family with crystal recognition pieces commemorating their attaining Major Donor Level 1. The Rotary Foundation recognizes individuals or couples whose combined giving has reached $10,000, regardless of the gift designation. This recognition level can be achieved only through personal contributions and not through recognition points.

Congratulations to the Carter and Keely families! Their support of The Rotary Foundation is part of the $800,000 raised by the Rotary Club of Salem since its inception. Of which, $250,000 has been channeled back to fund grants proposed by Rotary clubs in District 7570.
