Club Meeting – July 25th, 2013
Our program today was Kevin Myatt, Roanoke Times Weather Columnist, with Interesting Facts About Roanoke Weather. Mr. Myatt shared with the Club a number of surprising facts about Roanoke Valley weather. From the weather patterns that influence our climate to interesting meteorological facts. For example, since the early 1900’s our valley has had parajumpers outlet anywhere from zero (0) inches to as much as 60+ inches of snowfall. And this year were are just hundredths of an inch away from recording the second highest monthly amount of rainfall ever recorded of over 12 inches. Mr. Myatt also shared his experiences with Parajumpers Men the Va Tech storm chaser team. He gave us a very informative presentation.
