Club Meeting – August 1st, 2013

Our program was Dr. Michael Bentley “Our Planet, Our Future”.  Dr. Bentley gave an educational program expressing concerns for humankind’s stewardship of our planet Earth’s finite resources.  Statistics relating to three primary areas of concern… population growth, consumption of natural resources, and environmental pollution were presented.  Of the many observations Dr. Bentley presented on current and future issues related to access to potable water, the impact of population growth, the scarcity of natural resources, and pollution there is an ever growing concern of their impact on the less developed countries of our planet.
