Club Meeting – July 21st, 2016
Andrew Downs from the Appalachian Trail Conservancy gave the club good insights into how intertwined Salem and Virginia are to the Appalachian Trail. The Trail, used by 3 million hikers a year, is the longest hiking-only footpath in the world. More of the Trail runs through Virginia than any other state. The most photographed view on the Trail is only nine miles from the Salem Civic Center at beautiful McAfee Knob in Catawba.
Our thanks to Treva Carter for her Rotary Recap.
