Today City of Salem Planner Ben Tripp updated our club on Salem’s plans for drawing more visitors downtown.  Some interesting improvements include signs to guide visitors to parking areas, a covered outside gathering area at Library Square, improvement grants for store facades, brick pavers instead of concrete sidewalks, and widened sidewalks to facilitate outdoor dining.
