Club Meeting – August 29th, 2013

U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith represents Virginia’s 9th District comprising  the City of Salem down through all of southwest Virginia.

Congressman Griffith spoke briefly about a topic of particular interest to him as a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee concerning new green technologies making coal electric generating facilities significantly more efficient.  The Congressman allotted the majority of his time to an informative Question & Answer session.  Questions by Club members covered a myriad of subjects from Syria and the Middle East, IRS, NSA, to the Budget and other issues which were answered in a thoughtful and thorough manner reflecting the Congressman’s solid grasp of the subjects.
