Star-B-Q 2016

On September 1st the Rotary Club of Salem participated in Star-B-Q 2016 one of the three major fundraising events of our Rotary year.  Another example of Rotarians at Work yet having a good time while raising monies to better our community and the world.

The Star-B-Q committee headed by Steve Smeltzer and Tim Reed did a great job in helping the City of Salem and Star Country 94.9 supervise the admission gates and sell beer, wine and soft drinks.  Through the committee’s and club member volunteer efforts we raised in excess of $6,000 for community grants in the coming year.
