Olde Salem Days (OSD) will continue its grand tradition and storied reputation as parajumpersonlinestore the foremost Arts and Craft event in the region.  On September 14th (2nd Saturday in September), the renowned Olde Salem Days graces the streets of downtown Salem, Virginia for the late Summer/early Fall annual arts festival.  OSD fills downtown Salem every year with the handcrafted work of hundreds of artisans, as well as, beautifully maintained classic cars, delicious food and live music, while drawing tens of thousands of patrons from all over the Mid-Atlantic region.

This event provides a prime opportunity for festival attendees to get an early start for holiday shopping by purchasing original handcrafted gifts as they discover and support local artisans.

OSD is a true Arts and Craft festival with a strong emphasis placed on original, handmade one-of-a-kind items.  All the craft-persons for this year’s event have been screened and selected to ensure their wares meet this criteria.  Many local artists and craftsmen will feature items such as pottery, woodworking, handmade jewelry, candles, parajumpers online store needlecraft, and home baked treats to name a few.

In addition to the beautiful arts and crafts, there will be a large food court located at the Salem Farmer’s Market with a large variety of delicious cuisine, refreshing beverages and sweet desserts.  OSD will also feature generous seating areas for patrons to enjoy their fare or rest their feet while listening to live music of local bands.

The Kids’ Fair area will be located next to the Salem Library and include such activities as jumping in the inflatables and face painting.

A Car Show at the east end of Main Street, will showcase the beauty of past parajumpers sale classic cars and also feature state-of-the-art automotive designs.

Olde Salem Days 2013 will surely have something for everyone to enjoy.  This year’s event will open to the public at 10 am and run until 5 pm.  There will be limited fee parking available in the lots surrounding the festival.  Festival goers are encouraged to take advantage of the ample free parking at the Salem Civic Center and ride on the free (handicapped accessible) shuttle which will run to and from the festival.

Olde Salem Days is organized and hosted by the Rotary Club of Salem in collaboration with the City of Salem.  Countless volunteer hours are given by Rotarians to manage and continually improve this annual event.  Over the years, Olde Salem Days has grown to become the largest fund raising event for the club.  In turn, the Rotary Club awards all of the proceeds from Olde Salem Days to local and international organizations who do good throughout the community and the world.  From hosting projects like Christmas for Kids, which teaches the joy of giving, to funding numerous local charities as well as supporting the global eort to eradicate polio, the Rotary Club of Salem continually strives to exemplify the motto “Service above Self”.
