Club Meeting – February 4th, 2016
Today our program looked inward to learn more about the Rotary Foundation and to give a new member more than an elevator speech opportunity to introduce themselves to the Club.
Club member PDG Joe Ferguson and current Chair of District 7570 Committee for Foundation Planned Giving / Significant Gifts introduced a newly produced video by Rotary International titled “A Century of Doing Good in the World”. The scope of work undertaken and accomplished by the Rotary Foundation is truly impressive. Visit our International page to learn how our Club has leveraged the resources offered by the Rotary Foundation to do good in the world.
Chris Lawson is new to our Club but with past Rotary credentials. He is a Past President of the Roanoke-Downtown Rotary Club 2003-2004. New member vocational speeches afford new members the chance to let membership learn about their personal life, as well as, their line of work. Chris shared insights about many facets of his fife that were of interest to all. We all look forward to Chris adding his talents and energy to Club’s projects and activities.
